Irishsaurus Rex was founded on June 01, 2012 by DiarmaidB, Glavin1395 and 212Eire. To this day the 3 members mentioned are the only ones to be considered full members of the group but others have frequently featured throughout many different series and videos such as: destroyer9100, FleX, DownCastAce/Toxotai, chaners/KoalaHunter200 and SirNinjaDefuser/GrandTheftKenya(A.K.A. Edward), with FleX even uploading one due to technical difficulties.

The group was initiated as a few friends who played mainly Call Of Duty on Playstation and wanted to experience the behind the scenes action of creating YouTube videos just for fun. As anybody else would do they made a list of ideas and shortly afterwards a phenomenon was born. The roles were initially set out with DiarmaidB in charge of channel design, video annotations, social media pages etc. Glavin1395 would record footage and 212Eire would edit it.

When the channel first launched it was a great success as friends and peers spread the word about the videos but as the channel grew so too did the demand for new and better content. Although the initial idea was good, good just wasn't quite enough. After some new ideas were pitched and new characters were introduced it was back to the quality content that was to be expected from a group with their experience and resources.

In light of the situation the guys decided to step it up a notch by expanding their audience scope, here marked their first encounters with the world of PC Gaming. New games were introduced to the platesuch as Minecraft, Garry's Mod, Warframe and even some XBOX games like Halo. These were both fun to play and edit and marked the arrival of even more familiar faces that can be noticed on the channel today.

So this is where we stand today, in the PC era of gaming for the group. One of the more recent videos to the channel was a PC Alpha Game snippet which shows DiarmaidB and guest FleX playing Rust. This is a major milestone for the group as it will soon be their first video to reach 1000 views.
